Heroic Knights of Old

Time to go medieval Oklahoma City! For honor and glory! Experience the thrill of medieval combat as knight and steed work to win the day. May the most gallant knight win!


Ragnar The Dragon

We have a dragon! Ragnar is a 10 ft. tall fully animatronic dragon and he is flying into the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! Hear his fearsome roar as his head, neck, tail and wings move as our majestic dragon comes to life. Our team has worked hard to create this magical creature to thrill young and old alike. “But it is one thing to read about dragons and another to meet them.” – Ursula K, Le Guin. Come and meet our mighty dragon at the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! Huzzah!


Royal Rogues and Renegades

The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival welcomes the Royal Rogues and Renegades as our Pirate King and Queen!
Mannifred Johnstone Yates III and Renea’ Le Roux are award winning performers with a long standing theatre, television, event and live entertainment background spanning well over a decade. With numerous awards and published articles praising their unique one of a kind over the top 100% handmade costuming and entertainment. They specialize in unique period style leather items, hand made hats of all sorts not to be found anywhere else, head dresses, jewelry and all sorts of fabulous accoutrements for the truly decedent diva and dashing dandy. With their unique flamboyant and truly unforgettable entertainment style this dashing duo cannot be duplicated anywhere.
Imagine if you will the fantasy of Captain Hook brought together with the magnificent technicolor swashbuckling movies of the 40’s and 50’s. Royal Rogues and Renegades are a historical fantasy brought to life through their masterful costuming, vending and live entertainment. Huzzah!


Raptors Keep

The 2nd annual OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is proud to bring you the Master Falconers of Raptors Keep November 4th and 5th, 2023 at The OKC Fairgrounds! Historically, falconry was a popular sport and status symbol among the nobles of medieval Europe and the Middle East. Eggs and chicks of birds of prey were quite rare and expensive, and because the process of raising and training a hawk or falcon requires a great deal of time, money, and space, it was largely restricted to the noble classes. Be sure to catch one of Raptors Keep informative and entertaining shows, you’ll simply be amazed! Huzzah!


OKC Armored Combat

Time to go medieval OKC! The Knights of OKC Armored Combat, your hometown heroes, are one of the best and toughest armored combat teams in the world. Sword will crash upon shield! Mace and axe will test the armor and mettle of these knights as they do battle at the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival November 4th and 5th, 2023! OKC Armored Combat is a full-contact armored combat group where modern-day warriors battle in over eighty pounds of plated armor with real weapons of steel. Rooted in historical traditions, these knights are set to wage war with sword, axe and shield for honor and glory! Come meet the fighters and watch the action! Victory to the gallant!


The OKC Highland Games

There can be only one! Announcing our Highland Games competition! It all takes place as part of the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival November 4th – 5th, 2023 at the OKC Fairgrounds. The International Highland Games Federation President Francis Brebner has graciously awarded a IHGF US National Amateur Championship qualifying round for the next season to the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! What does that mean? The winners will qualify to compete in next year’s IHGF USA Amateur Highland Games Championships! We will also host Highland Games competitions in other classes for both men and women. We are greatly honored to host these world class Olympic level events right here in Oklahoma City. Be part of the action and come out and support local events and these great athletes, some of who may represent the USA in the next IHGF World Amateur Highland Games Championships!


King Oberon’s Fairy Court

Come and visit the Fairy Court of King Oberon! Ask for a fairy song, or dance! Learn the Goblin song or the “Shooka Shooka”! Finally complete the Fairy Quest and become a Dayed of the Fairy Court. Its akin to being “Knighted” only better because fairies get to sparkle!


The Bilge Pumps

You wanted the best, you got the best! The hottest pirate band in the world…the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is proud to bring you The Bilge Pumps! Live onstage November 4th – 5th, 2023 at the OKC Fairgrounds! The Bilge Pumps are one of the finest Pirate musical groups in the world on land or at sea and we are thrilled to have them onboard to entertain you here in the mighty OKC! Aye, there’ll be sea songs aplenty, shanties and a few laughs thrown in to boot! Yo, ho, ho, it’s a pirate’s life for me!


Crazy Boy Coy

Hear ye, hear ye! Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages please welcome the one and only Crazy Boy Coy to the 2nd Annual OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival November 4th – 5th, 2023 at the OKC Fairgrounds! He’s no stranger to danger and is always sure to draw a crowd. See fire breathing, juggling, death defying acrobatics and much, much more!


Glomesdal

Vikings! Glomesdal are the chapter of the Vikings North America for Oklahoma. They are a group of historical reenactors based out of the OKC area although they have active members across the state. Their mission is to educate the public about the Viking Age and the daily lives of the real Norse people. Stop by and experience living history!


Black Oak Shillelagh

Give a big OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival welcome to OKC’s very own Black Oak Shillelagh! Exciting, energetic and fun! These talented troubadours will have you dancing to their jigs and reels and Celtic tunes. Their repertoire includes traditional Irish and Scottish ballads and songs and covers of the music of modern Irish artists such as Christy Moore. They’ve also been known to throw in a few songs from the sea and from places where the Irish immigrated. We also happen to think that Black Oak Shillelagh is the coolest name for a Celtic band – EVER! Huzzah!


Flint Hills Fairies

The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival proudly welcomes the Flint Hills Fairies to our 2nd annual festival November 4th and 5th at the OKC Fairgrounds! Fairies are creatures of legend and lore and in addition to their folkloric origins, fairies were a common feature of Renaissance literature and Romantic art. The Celtic Revival also saw fairies established as a canonical part of Celtic cultural heritage. We are absolutely thrilled to have our talented hometown fairies, the Flint Hills Fairies, join us! The ScallyWags

AARRGGHHH maties! The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is proud to bring you The ScallyWags Pirate Comedy Show November 5th – 6th, 2022 at the OKC Fairgrounds! The ScallyWags are a Pirate Comedy Show land locked in central Kansas. They are one of the first and longest running Pirate Acts in the U.S.A. and have been delighting crowds for decades. There’ll be loads of laughs, swashbuckling and singing (of sorts) and much, much more. You might even end up as part of their show! Featured in magazines, books, radio, documentaries and on television we are thrilled to have the ScallyWags on board for the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! It’s a pirate’s life for me!


A Mirage Dance Company

Huzzah! Give a big OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival welcome to your hometown dance troupe extraordinaire, the talented ladies of A Mirage Dance Company!


Éiníní

Give a big OKC welcome to your home town Celtic group Éiníní who will be featured at the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! Éiníní is a folk music band that performs traditional music from cultures throughout history. Their name, pronounced “eh-NEE-nee,” means “little birds.” Fitting indeed, come enjoy the enchanting sounds of your home town magical minstrels!
