OKC Archangels

Time to go medieval OKC! Your hometown OKC Archangels, one of the best and toughest armored combat teams in the Armored Combat Worldwide/USA today, are going to fight for honor and glory at the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival Nov. 5th and 6th, 2022! The ACW is a full-contact armored combat league where modern-day warriors battle in over eighty pounds of plated armor with real weapons of steel. Rooted in historical traditions, these knights are set to wage war with sword, axe and shield for honor and glory! Come meet the fighters and watch the action! Victory to the gallant!


Raptors Keep

The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is proud to bring you the Master Falconers of Raptors Keep November 5th and 6th, 2022 at The OKC Fairgrounds! Historically, falconry was a popular sport and status symbol among the nobles of medieval Europe and the Middle East. Eggs and chicks of birds of prey were quite rare and expensive, and because the process of raising and training a hawk or falcon requires a great deal of time, money, and space, it was largely restricted to the noble classes. Be sure to catch one of Raptors Keep informative and entertaining shows, you’ll simply be amazed! Huzzah!


Royal Rogues and Renegades

The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival welcomes the Royal Rogues and Renegades as our Pirate King and Queen!
Mannifred Johnstone Yates III and Renea’ Le Roux are award winning performers with a long standing theatre, television, event and live entertainment background spanning well over a decade. With numerous awards and published articles praising their unique one of a kind over the top 100% handmade costuming and entertainment. They specialize in unique period style leather items, hand made hats of all sorts not to be found anywhere else, head dresses, jewelry and all sorts of fabulous accoutrements for the truly decedent diva and dashing dandy. With their unique flamboyant and truly unforgettable entertainment style this dashing duo cannot be duplicated anywhere.
Imagine if you will the fantasy of Captain Hook brought together with the magnificent technicolor swashbuckling movies of the 40’s and 50’s. Royal Rogues and Renegades are a historical fantasy brought to life through their masterful costuming, vending and live entertainment. Huzzah!


The ScallyWags

AARRGGHHH maties! The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is proud to bring you The ScallyWags Pirate Comedy Show November 5th – 6th, 2022 at the OKC Fairgrounds! The ScallyWags are a Pirate Comedy Show land locked in central Kansas. They are one of the first and longest running Pirate Acts in the U.S.A. and have been delighting crowds for decades. There’ll be loads of laughs, swashbuckling and singing (of sorts) and much, much more. You might even end up as part of their show! Featured in magazines, books, radio, documentaries and on television we are thrilled to have the ScallyWags on board for the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! It’s a pirate’s life for me!


The Bilge Pumps

AARRGGHHH maties! The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is proud to bring you The Bilge Pumps November 5th – 6th, 2022 at the OKC Fairgrounds! The Bilge Pumps are one of the finest Pirate musical groups in the world on land or at sea and we are thrilled to have them onboard to entertain you here in the mighty OKC! Aye, there’ll be sea songs aplenty, shanties and a few laughs thrown in to boot! Yo, ho, ho, it’s a pirate’s life for me!


Black Oak Shillelagh

Give a big OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival welcome to OKC’s very own Black Oak Shillelagh! Exciting, energetic and fun! These talented troubadours will have you dancing to their jigs and reels and Celtic tunes. Their repertoire includes traditional Irish and Scottish ballads and songs and covers of the music of modern Irish artists such as Christy Moore. They’ve also been known to throw in a few songs from the sea and from places where the Irish immigrated. We also happen to think that Black Oak Shillelagh is the coolest name for a Celtic band – EVER! Huzzah!


Musical Blades

ARRRGGHH! Please welcome the Musical Blades to the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival November 5th – 6th, 2022 at the OKC Fairgrounds!

Since the turn of the century, a fearless band of misfit rogues has been terrorizing and delighting the Midwest with a unique blend of hilarity and harmonies. The Musical Blades have spent the last 19 years bringing soaring vocals and vibrant performances to countless renaissance festivals and clubs in 12 states across the country’s midsection.

Offering a range of music styles including mug-banging pub chant-alongs, rowdy folk-rock favorites and tear-jerking sea ballads, this pirate crew plunders the hearts of audiences wherever they go.
Great fun for the entire family. In addition to the Musical Blades, there’ll be jousts and jests, knights and knaves, more pirates, fairies and jugglers oh my! So grab thy turkey leg and come one, come all to The OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! Huzzah!


Éiníní

Oklahoma City welcome your home town Celtic group Éiníní to the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! Éiníníis a folk music band that performs traditional music from cultures throughout history. Their name, pronounced “eh-NEE-nee,” means “little birds.” Fitting indeed, come enjoy the enchanting sounds of your home town magical minstrels!


The Bilge Pumps and the Musical Blades

You wanted the best, you got the best! The hottest Pirate bands in the world, the Bilge Pumps and the Musical Blades!

For the first time in nearly 2 decades the legendary Pirate crews from the Musical Blades and The Bilge Pumps will perform on the same stage at OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! That’s a double broadside of epic proportions and we are thrilled to have them both onboard to entertain you here in the mighty OKC! Aye, there’ll be sea songs aplenty, shanties and a few laughs thrown in to boot! Yo, ho, ho, it’s a pirate’s life for me!


Mother Nature

Fall is coming! Please welcome “Mother Nature” to the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival November 5th – 6th, 2022 at the OKC Fairgrounds. Standing at over 7′ tall, she towers over all. She will be wandering throughout the festival all weekend greeting guests and taking photos. Welcome Mother Nature!


The International Highland Games Championship Series

There can be only one! It all takes place as part of the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival November 5th – 6th, 2022 at the OKC Fairgrounds. The International Highland Games Federation President Francis Brebner has graciously awarded the IHGF US National Amateur Championship first qualifying round of the 2023 season to the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival! What does that mean? The winner will qualify to compete in the 2023 IHGF World Amateur Highland Games Championships! We will also host Highland Games competitions in other classes for both men and women. We are greatly honored to host these world class Olympic level events right here in Oklahoma City. Be part of the action and come out and support local events and these great athletes, some of who may represent the USA in the 2023 IHGF World Amateur Highland Games Championships!

He is our Announcer for the Highland Games, and the President of the International Highland Games Federation.
